PLAYER INFORMATION

FORMAT:
The Championship will be 36 holes of four-ball net stroke play competition (two-person better ball). 18 holes will be played each day. Each player receives 95% of their Course Handicap. After the reduction, if partners’ Course Handicaps differ by more than 8 strokes, an additional 10% reduction will be applied to their Course Handicaps (this is the USGA recommendation).
During the Championship, the lowest Handicap Index from the November 1st to January 15th revisions will be used to calculate each player’s Course Handicap. In addition, every player’s scoring file is reviewed by SCGA staff. The SCGA Rules & Competitions Committee reserves the right to adjust a player’s and/or team’s Course Handicap at any time prior to or during the competition.
REGISTRATION:
There will be no formal registration for this event.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the tournament. Starting times will range from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 8:50 a.m.
Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 8:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 8:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Players may arrange a practice round at their own expense. Please contact the golf shop at (760) 833-8700 to schedule a practice round. Green fees: $65 per player including cart. Practice rounds are based on a space available basis based on club member play.

Play will be from the RED tee markers
Course Rating: 71.5/ Slope: 119 / approximately 5,520 yards.
DRIVING RANGE:
The Driving Range will be open by 6:30 a.m. Range balls will be provided compliments of the SCGA and Indian Canyons Golf Resort on the Driving Range. There will be a reserved area for players on the South Course Driving Range. Transportation will be provided from the North Course to the range.
FOOD SERVICE AND PURCHASES:
The SCGA will host dinner for all players on Monday following Round 1. The Snack Bar will be open for other food and beverage purchases. Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
RULES OF PLAY:

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION / PULL CARTS & PUSH CARTS:
Carts are included with the entry fee. There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk. Pull carts and push carts are allowed.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
Players may provide their own caddie (See section on Automotive Transportation). Caddies must adhere to the dress code listed in section below. Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the club.
DRESS CODE:
Players and caddies must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes. Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts and tank tops will not be permitted.
CANCELLATIONS:
To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of an SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Rules and Competitions Department at (818) 980-3630, or by clicking here. If a player needs to withdraw on the morning of the event, notify the SCGA staff person through the golf shop staff at the host venue. Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions. Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
